    3. Motion to consider the Political Poster Motion as two separate motions
      • Motion passes.
    4. Obama Poster Mural Motion
      • Motion to remove the Obama poster from the mural in the pit.
      • https://docs.google.com/a/hanovernorwichschools.org/document/d/1pG2fLmnpzsNZElbrbvUgubCDwOMesMvXTRQwtyHa8R8/preview for full motion details and supporting material.
      • This is not a painting of Obama, but of his campaign poster.
      • Safe space/earth day are more politically charged than this poster and still on full display.
      • We don’t want a back and forth war of posters on school walls.
      • A possible solution is to have the senior class repaint the wall every year.
      • Getting into the mindset of removal leads to more drastic actions in future.
      • Art can also be deeply political.
      • Any removal is still censorship.
      • Promoting the minority cannot be accomplished through the censoring of the oppressor.
      • Motion fails.

Meeting adjourns.
