We do not limit the number of times and individual can complete RJ.
If there is no consensus, the base consequences are enacted.
UVM and Dartmouth have similar processes (see: REL65 scandal 2014).
This is somewhat strong-arming individuals to complete RJ, but it is not at all an easy way out.
No matter what the incentive, students would still get something out of it.
Majority of high schools do not report integrity violations.
This allows flexibility for the most appropriate punishment.
The value of the “teachable” moment is greater than the risk of “letting someone get away.”
Judicial system has similar program with Diversion.
For some, high school IS all about college.
If one deserves the consequences, one will get them.
No AIP violators have completed RJ yet.
Though the perpetrators of the exam thefts in the past went to 4-year colleges, they might not have had the best path or support.
Black and white rules only teach students how to cheat better.
Meeting adjourns.
