This is not a painting of Obama, but of his campaign poster.
Safe space/earth day are more politically charged than this poster and still on full display.
We don’t want a back and forth war of posters on school walls.
A possible solution is to have the senior class repaint the wall every year.
Getting into the mindset of removal leads to more drastic actions in future.
Art can also be deeply political.
Any removal is still censorship.
Promoting the minority cannot be accomplished through the censoring of the oppressor.
Motion fails.
Meeting adjourns.
